Diana Scheel is primarily a portrait photographer in the Puget Sound with her company Cat in the Moon Photography. Outside of her business she loves to explore many different genres of photography, especially travel photography. She has a booth at the Everett Farmers Market on Sundays in the summer where she sells prints of some of her work.
Her images have been showcased at the Shoreline City Hall Gallery, the Schack Art Center as well as several juried exhibits. Among her awards, she won first place at the Shoreline Arts Festival in 2016 and honorable mention at the Kenmore Art Show in 2017 for “Tacoma Narrows”, 2nd place at the Arts of the Terrace in 2017 for “Granizado” and two of her images are permanently on display on Seattle Metro bus stops in downtown Seattle. She has had twelve cover shots for Edmonds Living Local Magazine as well as contributed to many articles. The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce chose to use her work for their member plaques, business directories and Facebook page for 2017. She is also featured in the book “Art State: Washington” by Lillyan Hendershot.
She teaches people how to get stunning images for themselves through private lessons, as well as in classes held by the Creative Age Festival of Edmonds. She also started the Photography Club of Edmonds.
Diana believes that memories are the meaning of life, and photographs capture those memories. EVERYONE should have the opportunity to have a beautiful picture of themselves and their family. She loves to work with non-traditional families and pets are always welcome in photo shoots.
